Although a New York native, I have called southern California my home for the past two and a half years. I graduated from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY, in 2005, spent a summer as a manager at Abercrombie & Fitch in Ithaca, and then moved to California for the fall semester at San Diego State University (SDSU). In May 2007, I earned the M.A. degree in Educational Technology (EDTEC) and joined a consulting group, where I worked on projects for Yum! Brands and Microsoft. Now I am an instructional designer for a medical device company and actively volunteer for the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).
I had my first experience as a training and development intern in the Human Resources department of BorgWarner Morse TEC in Ithaca, NY, where I analyzed the corporate training survey and designed a training intranet website. However, it wasn’t until my senior year at Ithaca College, while enrolled in an instructional design course, that I realized my passion for the performance technology and instructional design fields. Since the commencement of my studies at SDSU, I have had several opportunities to apply and advance my instructional design skills, including:
Now that I have graduated, I plan to continue my career in performance and instructional technology as a corporate instructional designer. I hope to someday earn a doctorate in human performance technology and ISPI’s Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) status.

I would have to say that the majority of my time, particularly during the past two years, has been spent concentrating on my studies. However, since early March 2007, I have also been raising my pug, Bailey. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, relaxing, reading, and learning new computer programs.
